Electro-Harmonix
About
Electro-Harmonix (EHX) is a New York-based effects company renowned for their creative, often experimental approach to tone shaping. From the Big Muff Pi to the POG, EHX pedals have shaped the sound of rock, indie, and experimental music for over 50 years.
History
Founded by Mike Matthews in 1968, EHX quickly gained a following with players like Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana. The Big Muff Pi, introduced in 1969, became one of the most iconic fuzz/distortion pedals ever made. After a period of closure in the 1980s, EHX relaunched in 1990 and has continued to innovate.
